Mo Bobat, the Director of Cricket for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), addressed the gathering of global sporting stakeholders at the RCB Innovation Lab’s Leaders Meet India, shedding light on the team’s strategic priorities for the upcoming IPL auctions.
Bobat emphasized the importance of making smart decisions in trades and auctions to bolster the player group. He mentioned the team’s strong core of retained players and a powerful top order. The decision to release certain players was aimed at strengthening the middle order, with the addition of Cameron Green being highlighted as a fantastic move. Bobat identified Mohammad Siraj as a core part of their strategy, and supporting Siraj with additional bowling options, including overseas options, is a key priority. The team also boasts a robust core of local spinners, and Bobat anticipates their increased roles in the upcoming matches.
