Tom Cruise-starrer Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One completed three weeks in theatres this Wednesday. The film debuted in India with Rs 12.3 crore. According to industry tracker, sacnilk, it collected Rs 60 lakh on its 21st day of release, bringing its total earnings in India to over Rs 100 crores. Despite the lukewarm response received from the global audience, the film has been successful in entering the 100 crore club in India. The film has made around $451 million worldwide.
Despite, receiving commercial competition from Barbie, Oppenheimer and further, Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani, the film continues to run in the cinemas. The film has emerged as the third Hollywood film this year to earn 100 crores in India after Vin Diesel’s Fast X and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is an american spy action film directed by Christopher McQuarrie from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erik Jendresen. It is the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. Dead Reckoning Part One sees Tom Cruise return as Ethan Hunt, whose IMF team matches wits with a powerful rogue AI known as “the Entity”. The ensemble cast also features Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, and Henry Czerny. A direct sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two, is set to be released on June 28, 2024.
