After recovering from a leg injury, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has once again increased his activity among the general public. He began with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s conference in Udaipur. During this event, Chief Minister Gehlot stated, today, due to IT (Information Technology), his administartion can deliver good governance and this is the reason why beneficiaries are receiving their due payments directly.
He attributed this achievement to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi making an apparent reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks about directly transferring the complete amount to the beneficiaries. When Rajiv Gandhi brought computers, the opposition raised many questions. He also said that today, the nation has witnessed an IT revolution because of Rajiv Gandhi’s vision.
Chief Minister Gehlot also mentioned that his government has provided benefits to people across various sectors. He claimed that in the field of electricity, 13,000 megawatts of power is getting generated. Apart from this, Rajasthan has significant reserves of oil and gas. The state has also pioneered health rights legislation, with Rs 25 lakh health insurance scheme. Gehlot said that many improvements are being made in the education sector with the opening of numerous schools and colleges, and regarding road infrastructure, Rajasthan has surpassed Gujarat. Chief Minister Gehlot also expressed concern about the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project and stated that although it belongs to the central government, if they do not implement it, the Rajasthan government will take it upon themselves.
Gehlot emphasized his determination to work for the betterment of the state and its citizens. He mentioned that in matters of work, he is very ambitious, does not make false claims and always delivers on his promises. He also highlighted the progress made in schemes like the “Har Ghar Nal Yojana” (Tap Water to Every Household) and declared that his government is working towards Mission 2030. In an event in Jaipur, Gehlot launched the Rajasthan Mission 2030 website, stating that his government has taken several decisions to benefit the state in adverse circumstances. The Chief Minister added that under the guidance of the Vision Document, they aim to make Rajasthan the number one state in India in terms of development by 2030.
In the past five years, the state has achieved a fourfold increase in various development sectors, and his government is aiming to further increase this by tenfold in the next seven years. They plan to gather suggestions from different sections of society to draft future plans. An extensive campaign will be held from 22 August to 30 September to seek feedback from the public. This feedback will be compiled into a Vision Document, which will serve as the basis for future planning and development.
Chief Minister Gehlot encouraged citizens to participate actively in the process, and he believes that with a shared vision and collaborative effort, Rajasthan can achieve significant progress. He also mentioned that his government has recognised tourism as an industry, and the hotel industry has greatly benefited from this recognition. Chief Minister Gehlot is back in action and is promoting the Mission 2030 campaign, aiming to improve the state’s development in various sectors by actively engaging with the public.
