A 17 year old boy in Chhattisgarh killed his parents on behest of  a “Tantrik” (Shaman) in order to cure his mentally ill elder brother. According to the police, the young boy’s relatives conspired to sacrifice his parents under the guise of black magic.

Seven people were detained by the police from various areas of Jashpur, while one suspect is still at large.

Abhishek Meena, the superintendent of police in Raigarh, reported that the remains were found in Nadigaon village, which is located inside the boundaries of the Sariya police station.

After the authorities grew concerned about the family’s involvement in the incident during the inquiry, the youngster admitted to killing his parents and seven other people, according to the police.

The police officer stated, “The minor told us that a month back his elder brother fell mentally ill, so he was taken to a tantric named Mohan Yadav of Satguru Ashram. Yadav told the minor that his brother was ill because their parents had done some witchcraft, and if they killed the parents, the brother would recover. Yadav said that their financial condition will also improve.”

With the assistance of his brother-in-law Narsingh Yadav and cousins Raju Ram Yadav, Bhole Shankar Yadav, Shankar Yadav, Khageshwar Yadav, Ishwari Yadav, and Dashrath Yadav, the teenager devised a scheme to murder his parents.

The deceased bodies were going to be thrown into the Mahanadi river. On the evening of July 30, the brother-in-law hired a car and travelled to Bhagwanpur with a rope, a towel, and a plastic sink to carry out the murders.

The SP stated, “The accused called the parents into the vehicle on the pretext of their son not being well and took them to Surajgarh Mahanadi bridge, where they were strangled to death.”
