Haryana’s Minister of State for Labor, Anoop Dhanak, on Tuesday performed the formal bhoomi pujan of the ‘Shram Shakti Bhawan,’ to be built at a cost of about Rs 38 crore in one acre near the police station of Sector-20. On this occasion, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta participated as a special guest.
Earlier, Haryana’s Minister of State for Labor, Anoop Dhanak, and Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta paid their respects by offering flowers at the portrait of Vedmurti Taponishtha Ram Sharma. Anoop Dhanak stated that a basement and seven floors will be constructed in ‘Shram Shakti Bhawan.’ Offices of the Industry Department, Labor Department, and Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will be built in the building. Fully equipped offices, conference rooms, and convention halls will also be constructed in this building. A strong room will be created in the basement of the building to protect sensitive records. The special thing about this building is that it will be environmentally friendly and disabled-friendly. He informed that there will also be a crèche facility for the children of working employees in Shram Bhawan.
Dhanak informed that this building will be constructed to serve as a central center with state-of-the-art facilities, which will enhance coordination between workers and administration, ensure effective communication, and streamline the ongoing process for the welfare of workers. He said that this is an important step towards empowering and modernizing the labor community in Haryana. He said that the collective presence of Labor Department officials at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony reflects the improvement in the conditions of the workforce of the state.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta said that with the construction of this building, all the problems of the workers can be solved under one roof. He said that this building will be equipped with modern facilities. Gupta said that Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has a special focus on Panchkula. Today, Panchkula has become a hub of education.
Students are getting a lot of benefits from NIFT Sector-23, Polytechnic Multi-Skill Center, and other educational institutions in Sector-26. The work of AYUSH AIIMS in Mata Mansa Devi temple complex is almost completed. Apart from this, recently the foundation stone of the Medical College has been laid in Sector-32, and its construction work will be completed soon. This will greatly benefit the residents of the district and the surrounding areas. He said that development works worth more than Rs 6000 crore have been done in Panchkula till now.
