In his press conference, Arjun Ram Meghwal, the Central Law Minister and coordinator of the Sankalp Patra Committee, targeted the Congress government, accusing them of taking the state towards bad governance after promising good governance. He stated that the Congress government, under the guise of farmer loan waivers and unemployment allowances through the “Mahangai Rahat Camp,” has misled the public and added to the burden of debts on the people of the state.
Arjun Ram Meghwal said, “The Congress had promised good governance, but under their rule, they have indulged in falsehood and deception by executing the paper leak scandal. The guarantee of good governance they talked about has turned into bad governance. The state’s GDP is down, and the debt has increased. Looking at the inflation figures, Rajasthan has witnessed a much higher inflation rate as compared to the national average. When Congress claims to have reduced inflation, their falsehood is exposed.”
Arjun Ram Meghwal further mentioned, “If we compare the inflation rate of the country with that of Rajasthan, a clear difference is evident. Congress members mislead the public. They talk about good governance when, in reality, the state has received bad governance. I don’t understand how they perceive the GDP. The GDP comprises consumption, investment, and exports. Even in the case of consumption, the state has not fared well. It should ideally be around 67-70%. However, the Rajasthan government has not performed well even in consumption. Their figures do not match the national average, which is why we refer to the ‘double engine government.”
