Political vibration is being felt continuously in the state ahead of the forthcoming assembly elections scheduled next year. All the political factions are on toes in a bid to strengthen their position. Be it the ruling BJP, JJP or Congress or INLD, all the parties have started working on future strategy. After the completion of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana, the BJP tried its best to answer it through the conduction of a rally of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Karnal. INLD stalwart Abhay Singh Chautala will start the yatra on 24 February. Apart from this, JJP is also brainstorming on the future strategy by organizing continuous meetings. In this episode, it is pertinent to mention that in the last few days several political developments have led to new speculations. The ruling BJP is also keeping a constant watch on the meetings of stalwarts of the opposition parties and the upset party leaders.
Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda was admitted to Medanta in Gurugram on Tuesday after being unwell and was discharged on 16 February after all the reports were fine. Meanwhile, the most talked about thing is that INLD supremo O.P. Chautala visited him in the hospital. Following the debacle in the last assembly elections, political experts are of the opinion that Chautala’s meeting with Hooda has political significance. Even before this there have been indications from INLD many times that INLD may join hands with Hooda. Due to the ongoing conflict with JJP, INLD is brainstorming all the available options. This was the second meeting between Hooda and Chautala this year.

It is a noticeable fact that Birender Singh is believed to be upset with the BJP for a long time. Thus meeting of these political bigwigs led to new political speculation that whether they will join hands ahead of assembly elections. Birender Singh indicated many times that he may come up with a huge political step regarding his political future as well as of BJP MP and his son Brijendra Singh.
