The Los Angeles home of “Friends” star Matthew Perry, where he was found dead in a hot tub last October, has a new owner with a vision to honor Perry’s legacy. Anita Verma-Lallian, a film producer and real estate consultant, recently acquired the property in an $8.5 million off-market deal. She expressed her commitment to preserving the positive aspects of Perry’s life and celebrating his talents and the joy he brought to countless fans.

Verma-Lallian, a practicing Hindu, shared images of a traditional pooja ceremony she organized to bless the home. “It’s customary in our faith to perform a blessing when acquiring a new property,” she said, explaining that her family’s Panditji traveled from Arizona for the ritual.

Verma-Lallian is the founder of Camelback Productions, a company dedicated to increasing South Asian representation in film. She is also a respected commercial real estate consultant and founder of Arizona Land Consulting, an enterprise she started after working with her family’s development company, Vermaland.

In addition to her professional achievements, Verma-Lallian holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and has been a prominent supporter of Kamala Harris. She co-hosted a fundraiser for Harris with her husband Doug Emhoff, voicing her enthusiasm for economic growth in Arizona.

Perry originally purchased the home in 2020 for $6 million, and Verma-Lallian’s purchase represents a personal and symbolic transition, bringing new energy to the property while honoring its former owner’s enduring impact on popular culture.
