The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has advised citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran and Israel until further notice due to the current situation in the region. This cautionary directive follows threats from Iran in response to a suspected Israeli airstrike on its embassy in Syria.

Similar advisories have been issued by other countries like the US and Russia for their citizens and staff in the area. The MEA urges citizens already in these countries to take utmost precautions for their safety and minimize their movements.

Concerns are raised that any retaliation by Iran could escalate the ongoing conflict between Iran-backed Hamas militants and Israel in Gaza. Additionally, the US has sought support from foreign ministers of several countries to encourage Iran to reduce tensions with Israel as part of efforts to manage the conflict.
