A man has received the largest medical payout in history after a series of botched penis injections resulted in permanent damage to his male organ. The unnamed patient, who sought medical help for fatigue and weight loss, was misdiagnosed with erectile dysfunction. As part of his treatment at a Wyoming clinic in 2017, he was given frequent injections and testosterone pellet implants, which caused lasting harm.
The man was awarded £3.25 million (approximately $412,000,000) in damages after a prolonged legal battle. The payout was made by NuMale Medical Centre, the clinic responsible for the treatments.
According to his lawyers, the clinic’s actions were part of a corporate scheme that exploited men’s fears to drive unnecessary treatments. “This scheme manipulates and uses fear to convince men to undergo these procedures,” said trial lawyer Nick Rowley. His legal team also emphasized the importance of holding medical providers accountable for prioritizing profits over patient welfare.
“This is a record-setting case, and it sends a clear message: licensed professionals cannot defraud patients for money,” said attorney Lori Bencoe, describing the actions as a serious breach of trust and duty.
In response, NuMale Medical Centre expressed respect for the judicial process but refrained from commenting on the specifics of the case, citing ongoing legal proceedings. The clinic claims to offer “compassionate care” with treatments for erectile dysfunction, testosterone replacement therapy, and more.
