One kid was arrested, but three other suspects are still on the run, after a man was allegedly stabbed to death inside his car by four thieves in Jafrad, here in the national capital, according to the Delhi Police.
DCP Northeast Joy Tirkey told media that a PCR call was received on Tuesday morning at 5:31 a.m., informing them that a guy was bleeding profusely in a car on Yamuna Vihar Road, Jafrabad. When the police arrived, they identified the victim as Arjun, who is 32-year-old. The UP resident was declared dead after suffering stab wounds to his neck.
The police began investigating the CCTV tape, which revealed that the dead was lying inside the car with the doors open. Suddenly, four teenagers approached the car and attempted to rob the deceased. They got into a fight and stabbed the victim. According to the footage, all four victims are seen fleeing the scene.
The FSL and criminal teams have been called in. The van is a taxi cab from Gurugram, Haryana. One of the four defendants is a minor (16) who has been detained by authorities. The other three have been identified but are still at large, according to authorities.
According to the police, efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining suspects, and further investigation into the case is underway.
