A case of sexual assault involving a three-year-old child has come to light in the Nachna Thana area of Jaisalmer. The accused, a labourer, has been arrested by the police. The victimised child has been admitted to the hospital, where her condition is reported to be critical.
Police Superintendent Vikas Sagwan stated that the accused, Sagram Singh, is a neighbour of the victim’s family in Nachna village and works as a labourer in the fields.
Sagram Singh, originally from Madhya Pradesh, has two children of his own. Two days ago, his family had visited their village. On Sunday afternoon, Sagram Singh, under the influence of alcohol, brought the three-year-old daughter of his fellow-labourer to his room on the pretext of feeding her, where he sexually assaulted her.
Police Superintendent Vikas Sagwan stated that the accused, Sagram Singh, is a neighbour of the victim’s family in Nachna village and works as a labourer in the fields. Sagram Singh, originally from Madhya Pradesh, has two children of his own.
Upon receiving information, DSP Ali Mohammad arrived at the scene and initiated a search for the accused. The village was cordoned off in search of the accused. With the help of local villagers, the police caught the accused Sangram Singh who was hiding in the field.
SP said that the victim girl was medically examined by a board of doctors.
