Modi had earlier expressed disapproval over Tejashwi Yadav’s video showing him enjoying fish during Navratri, accusing opposition leaders of displaying a ‘Mughal mindset’ and offending sentiments by consuming non-vegetarian food during religious periods. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader criticized BJP’s alleged interference in individuals’ food choices, emphasizing that different communities have their own customs and rituals regarding food.
