Amidst the intense controversy surrounding AAP MP Swati Maliwal’s claim that she was beaten at Delhi CM Kejriwal’s home in the nation’s capital, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled a new CCTV footage of her.

The purported video shows Swati Maliwal being escorted by security personnel out of the chief minister’s house.

In the footage, the AAP says that on May 13, Swati Maliwal was seen walking limp-free and composed with the security guards. She was seen limping in another footage, according to AAP. Four days after the incident, the party accused Swati Maliwal of “acting to limp”.

Maliwal was allegedly walking alone, according to the party. The party said that given the specifics of the alleged assault as stated in the FIR, she would not have been able to walk by herself. In the video, the party inquired, “What is this game?”

The AAP has already released two videos regarding the alleged assault. At Arvind Kejriwal’s house, Swati Maliwal got into a fight with the security guards in the previous video.

“On May 13, she made the assault charges. A video from the CM’s home on May 13th appeared online, showing her sitting on the couch and giving orders to others. In that video, she didn’t appear to be a victim. But in the video from yesterday, she was limping. The paradox is here, AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj told PTI.

He claimed that as part of a plot against Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP, Swati Maliwal was in contact with BJP leaders.

“Senior leaders of the BJP are in contact with her… Delhi CM’s residence has CCTV cameras. Delhi Police will get the footage today or tomorrow… Till now, it seems her version of the story is not true,” he added.

Bibhav Kumar, Kejriwal’s secretary, has come under fire from Swati Maliwal for allegedly beating her up in the chief minister of Delhi’s drawing room. She said he kicked her in the stomach and repeatedly slapped her. A case has been filed by the police against Kumar.

In a complaint, Bibhav Kumar also states that she entered Kejriwal’s home without permission and mistreated him with the intention of assaulting him. He has refuted reports that he hit the AAP MP.

According to the AAP, Maliwal was targeting Kejriwal at the BJP’s request. Atishi, an AAP leader, asserted today that the BJP is utilizing her as a pawn.
