A 21-year-old biker tragically lost his life after being struck by a speeding car in Thane on Monday, according to police reports. The accident occurred at Nitin Junction, where the car hit the bike rider, identified as Darshan Shashidhar Hegde. Following the incident, the driver of the car fled the scene.

The Naupada police have launched a search operation to locate the driver. A case has been registered at Naupada Police Station against an unknown individual under sections 106 (2), 281, and 125 (B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as well as relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigation to identify and apprehend the driver. Further details are pending.
