The Madhya Pradesh High Court has implemented the virtual and hybrid hearing options for counsels and parties who are involved in cases in all three benches i.e., the Principal Seat Jabalpur and Bench at Indore bench and Gwalior bench.
The Madhya Pradesh High Court issued the notice dated October 20, 2023., the notification stated that the Video Conferencing / Hybrid hearing facility is available to the Learned Advocates / Parties-in person in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, all benches.
Further, the notice issued stated that this facility may be availed through the link made available in the daily/weekly Cause List of each Court.
However, the directive has been issued following a recent order from the Supreme Court on October 06, 2023., wherein the court directed all High Courts to ensure that no member of the bar is denied access to video conferencing facilities or hearing through hybrid means.
Accordingly, the Apex Court granted two weeks for all High Courts to comply with the said directive.
