Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha commended the Interim Budget 2024-25 of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

In a tweet, the Lt Governor expressed his gratitude, stating, “Grateful to Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji & Hon’ble FM Nirmala Sitharaman Ji for J&K’s interim Budget 2024-25, which is dedicated to farmers, women, youth, marginalized section of society and seeks to strengthen the grass-root democracy in the Union Territory.”

He highlighted the key features of the budget, emphasizing its dedication to farmers, women, youth, and marginalized sections of society. The Lt Governor emphasized that the budget is designed to reinforce grass-root democracy in the Union Territory.

Furthermore, he underscored the budget’s focus on rapid economic growth, ensuring that the growth is socially inclusive and sustainable. It addresses the expansion of the agricultural economy and aims to bridge regional imbalances while narrowing the rural-urban divide.
