The Congress unveiled a roster of seven nominees for two states during the Lok Sabha elections. In Bihar, Madan Mohan Tiwari, Ajay Nishad, Akash Prasad Singh, Sunny Hazari, and Manoj Kumar have been nominated for various constituencies. The party is collaborating with the Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar. In Punjab, Yamini Gomar and Amarjit Kaur Sahoke are the Congress candidates for Hoshiarpur and Faridkot, respectively.

While the Congress and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party are part of the opposition INDIA bloc in Punjab, they have opted out of a seat-sharing agreement. Punjab, with 13 Lok Sabha seats, anticipates a diverse contest involving the INDIA bloc, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Bihar, contributing 40 MPs to the Lok Sabha, witnessed the BJP, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party, and Congress securing seats in 2019. The Congress clinched one seat in Bihar, whereas in Punjab, it secured eight seats. Bihar’s polling spans all seven phases, while Punjab votes on June 1 in the final phase.

Additionally, the Congress disclosed a list of 38 contenders for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, including both fresh faces and changes in candidates for certain constituencies.
