Madhya Pradesh records 13.82 % voter turnout in initial trend while Tripura records the highest with 16.65% turnout and Maharashtra records the lowest with 7.45% and for phase 2 of polling till 9 a.m.

In the second phase of polling for six parliamentary seats in Madhya Pradesh, initial voter turnout trends show 13.82 per cent voting recorded until 9 am, according to data from the Election Commission of India. The polling for the seats including Tikamgarh (SC), Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, and Hoshangabad commenced at 7 am on Friday.

Hoshangabad leads the voter turnout with 15.95 per cent, followed by Satna with 13.59 per cent, Khajuraho with 13.44 per cent, Tikamgarh with 13.36 per cent, Damoh with 13.34 per cent, and Rewa with 13.27 per cent until 9 am.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav urged the public in these constituencies to exercise their franchise, emphasizing the significance of voters in the democratic process. He wrote, “Voters are the most important in the elections, the festival of democracy.” Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan also appealed to voters to cast their votes.

Madhya Pradesh’s Lok Sabha elections are being conducted in four phases, with the first phase held on April 19. The subsequent phases are scheduled for May 7 and May 13, with vote counting set for June 4. The state has a total of 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, with 10 reserved for SC and ST candidates and 19 unreserved.

In the initial phase of polling for six parliamentary seats in Madhya Pradesh, there was a 67.08 percent voter turnout, as per data released by the Election Commission.
