In a frightening occurrence, massive chaos broke out in Parliament during the Monsoon session on Thursday after Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi and Minister of State Ravneet Bittu got into a verbal argument.
According to reports, the chaos occurred during Jalandhar MP Charanjit Singh Channi’s statement in Parliament today, when he recalled Ravneet Bittu’s late grandfather Beant Singh.
Charanjit Singh Channi invoked the late Beant Singh’s name, stating, “Your grandfather was a martyr, but he died the day you left the Congress Party.”
Ravneet Bittu, distraught about his comments, lost his cool and began slamming Channi. He elaborated: “My Grandfather sacrificed for the nation, not for the Congress party.” He made more claims against Channi. He elaborated: “He is talking about poor people but he is among the richest people.”
Between the disputes, Ravneet Bittu began to go towards Channi when Ludhiana MP Raja Warring entered the well. The situation worsened, forcing the Speaker to postpone the session for a brief period of time.
