Actor Sonakshi Sinha is set to marry her boyfriend, fellow actor Zaheer Iqbal, on June 23 in Mumbai, as reported by India Today. Although the couple has kept their relationship private, their frequent public appearances and affectionate social media posts have suggested their close bond. Earlier this month, Zaheer shared adorable photos of them together for Sonakshi’s birthday, captioning it “Happy Birthday Sonzzz.”
Reports indicate that the wedding guest list will include close friends, family, and allegedly, the entire cast of Heeramandi. The invitation, styled like a magazine cover, features the text “the rumours are true.” Guests are requested to dress formally for the event, which will take place at Bastian in Mumbai.
Zaheer Iqbal, born on December 10, 1988, attended Mumbai Scottish School, where Ranbir Kapoor was a senior. Coming from a jeweler family, his father, Iqbal Ratansi, is both a jeweler and a businessman, and the family has close ties with Salman Khan. Zaheer’s mother is a homemaker, his sister is a celebrity stylist, and his younger brother is a computer engineer.
Zaheer debuted in Bollywood in 2019 with the romantic drama Notebook, produced by Salman Khan. He starred opposite Pranutan Bahal, the granddaughter of the legendary actress Nutan. Zaheer reportedly underwent extensive grooming and training to prepare for his acting career.
Salman Khan introduced Zaheer and Sonakshi Sinha, and their friendship reportedly blossomed into a romantic relationship. The couple has been frequently seen together and appeared in the film Double XL, directed by Satram Ramani, which also starred Huma Qureshi. The movie was released last year.
Previously, Zaheer Iqbal has been linked to two other actresses. He had a brief relationship with Deeksha Seth, followed by dating Sana Saeed, known for her role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Both relationships eventually ended.
