The last of the 36 IAF Rafales landed in India after a quick enroute sip from a UAE Air Force tanker said the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Talking to Twitter IAF tweeted along with the picture and said, “FEET DRY! ‘The Pack is Complete’ The last of the 36 IAF Rafales landed in India after a quick enroute sip from a UAE Air Force tanker. Shukran jazeelan.”
Earlier on July 2020 in Ambala, the first batch of five Rafale jets had arrived at the Air Force Station.
Talking about the Rafale Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “The Rafale deal was a game changer for India’s national security and its induction is a strong message for the world and especially for those who challenge India’s sovereignty.”
Meanwhile, India received three of the last four fighter planes in February which were fully equipped with India-specific requirements. The Rafale was handed over by France at Istres-Le Tube air base of Rafale manufacturer Dassault Aviation, situated northwest of Marseille.
Moreover, Indian Air Force (IAF) chief Marshal VR Chaudhari in November was seen flying an IAF Rafale fighter jet. During the ‘Garuda VIl’ bilateral exercise in Jodhpur French Air chief Gen Stéphane Mille took off in an Indian Russian-origin Sukhoi-30 fighter.
