When you open a packet, what appears from within was already inside there. When you knock on a door, who is the one who answers from inside? The one who is on the other side. When someone elicits and emotion out of you, it doesn’t mean they put it inside you. What came out was already inside.  When you question “how did this person evoke these feelings out of me?” The answer has to point a finger at your own self and admit that those reactions were already inside.  So do we just admit to being the way we are because that’s our reality? Anger, agitation, frustration and many other personalities are already inside us, but much like the owner of the house can always order who should open the door when the bell rings; you have the right to decide who should answer your door.   At times we want to blame the other person for evoking these reactions but actually the more we are in control, these personalities don’t have to answer our door by their own. Saying that I don’t mean suppression, I mean they don’t have to open the door without authority. You can even show agitation when you don’t like, but you need to be in control, you need to be calm from within. Without blaming others for conjuring the negative side within us, we have to firstly admit that those ‘personalities’ are already there. Yet we don’t need to allow them to be in control of us if we live in more awareness. We could think they are troubling us but it could be that we are holding on so tightly that they suffocate us. It times we just need to let go.
