The dangerous footballer from France, Kylian Mbappe, who played for PSG on Sunday, has been officially crowned Ligue 1’s top scorer for the 2022–2023 season.

Mbappe sent the ball into the net 29 times in 34 matches this season. The French goal-scoring machine has made it his habit to bag this award because he achieved this feat for the fifth time in a row.

On the final day of Ligue 1, he surpassed Olympique Lyonnais’ striker Alexandre Lacazette (27 goals) and Lille OSC’s forward Jonathan David (24 goals).

The sensational forward from France struck twice in 21 minutes, although PSG lost the match against Clermont 2-3. Meanwhile, he never remained behind in playing his role in most of the matches, whether international or club football.

But Clermont scripted a superb victory as Johan Gastien (24), Mehdi Zeffane (45+1), and Grejohn Kyei (63) netted the ball into goal to end PSG’s campaign with a loss on an emotional night.

The French giants said their final adieu to two football icons who have been making history in the French League for the past two seasons.

Players like Sergio Ramos of Spain and Argentinian maestro Lionel Messi were seen last time in Paris’ colours. However, Ramos ended his assignment with PSG by scoring a goal in the final game. But Messi failed to make any impact on his final match for PSG and ended his time with this club ordinarily.

Both footballers have decided to start a new journey with a different club in a separate league as well. Although their next destination is not known, as expected, it will be revealed soon.
