In a recent statement to reporters, the grieving father said, “I have turned down the compensation. Accepting money for her death would be disrespectful. I seek justice for my daughter.”
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is handling the case, met with the victim’s family on Thursday. While the father chose not to disclose the details of the meeting, he revealed that the CBI assured them of the imminent arrest of the accused.
The father expressed his gratitude to the public for their support during this difficult time. He acknowledged the global outcry and the widespread protests, thanking everyone who has shown solidarity. “I consider those who stand with us as my own children,” he said.
The trainee doctor of Kolkata was found murdered in a seminar hall of the hospital where she was working a night shift. The post-mortem report indicated severe injuries, including genital torture.
