For those unversed, the announcement came following a meeting of the NCP’s core committee in Mumbai on Monday. Though this development came in light 15 days after Pawar’s daughter, Supriya Sule hinted at the “big political explosions.”
During a conversation with the media, while responding to the comment’s of Prakash Ambedkar, Supriya said on19 April that “One (explosion) in Delhi and one in Maharashtra.” Now, days after his daughter’s statement, the 82-years-old politician has announced this shocking news at the launch of his autobiography.
After the news came in light, the members of the NCP party went on to protest to urge the veteran leader to withdraw his decision. Meanwhile, Pawar’s nephew, Ajit Pawar, has stated that he will follow the NCP committee’s decision on his resignation.
He recently stated that his party is prepared to run for chief minister at any time, rather than waiting for the 2024 Maharashtra election. In fact, flex banners depicting him as the future CM have recently appeared in Dharashiv.
