Kia Motors first entered the Indian market with the Kia Seltos SUV in 2019. It was followed by the Kia Carnival MPV at the 2020 Auto Expo in February. It was there that the all-new Kia Sonet was showcased and now the South Korean carmaker has announced that the world debut of the car will take place in India via a virtual conference on 7 August. It will be launched in India the following month and will be later introduced to other global markets. The Korean car, which is believed to give competition Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and Hyundai Venue, is expected to be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 13 lakh (exshowroom).
