A 31-year-old man from India, who had recently moved from Kerala’s Kollam, was killed in a missile strike near the Israel-Lebanon border. He left behind his pregnant wife, and their five-year-old daughter, unaware that it would be their final goodbye.

Pat Nibin Maxwell lost his life in the attack, while two other individuals from Kerala, Paul Melvin and Bush Joseph George, were injured and are currently receiving treatment in an Israeli hospital.

The Israel embassy in India condemned the attack, labeling it a “cowardly terror attack” by the Hezbollah organization. Naor Gilon, Israel’s ambassador to India, assured Maxwell’s family of assistance.

According to Nibin’s father, Pathrose Maxwell, Nibin had followed his elder brother to Israel after working in Muscat and Dubai. The news of Nibin’s death was conveyed by his wife to his family.

Nibin leaves behind a young daughter and his wife, who is seven months pregnant with their second child. His body is expected to be repatriated to Kerala after necessary procedures.

Following this incident, New Delhi has issued advisories for Indians residing in Israel amidst the Israel-Hamas conflict. “In view of the prevailing security situation and local safety advisories, all Indians nationals in Israel, especially those working in or visiting border areas in the north and south, are advised to relocate to safe areas within Israel. The Embassy remains in touch with the Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all our nationals,” the Indian embassy in Israel has said.
