Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is set to appear before the Rouse Avenue Court following the conclusion of his Enforcement Directorate custody on Thursday. Additionally, the Delhi High Court will hear a PIL seeking Kejriwal’s removal from his position as chief minister of the government of NCT of Delhi.

Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita, stated that her husband, currently in ED custody over an alleged excise scam, intends to disclose details regarding the case in court on March 28. The ED arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to the excise policy. The High Court’s notice to the ED, issued on a petition filed by Kejriwal, questions the legality and potential political motivation behind his arrest.

The court scheduled the matter for April 3 and emphasized that any release order would constitute bail. Meanwhile, AAP supporters are expected to escalate protests in the capital, with the INDIA bloc planning a joint rally on March 31 in objection to the arrest.
