Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing major abdominal surgery earlier this year. In an emotional video message on March 22, the Princess of Wales revealed her diagnosis. The news came as a shock not only to the royal family but also to the world. As she continues her treatment, Buckingham Palace has been inundated with “tens of thousands” of get-well-soon cards and gifts from well-wishers.

Royal Fans Flood Kate Middleton with Overwhelming Love

The palace correspondence team has reportedly been “so touched” by the overwhelming love and support from the public, according to DailyMail. The 42-year-old princess has stepped back from her royal duties to focus on her recovery in private, where she can also attend to her young children.

Even in her absence from public engagements, the expressions of support and well-wishes for the Princess of Wales persist, with the palace receiving thousands of cards, letters, and gifts from devoted royal fans. The influx of these tokens of affection has occasionally posed a challenge for staff to individually respond to each message.

Nevertheless, the palace team is committed to providing timely replies. Although there are distinct offices for Prince William and Kate at Kensington Palace, all correspondence addressed to members of the Royal Family is managed by the Court Post Office.

Normally, the palace receives around 1,000 letters per week from the public. However, following the news of Kate’s diagnosis, there has been an extraordinary surge in the number of letters sent by well-wishers. While there hasn’t been official confirmation yet, according to the outlet, Kate has been seen more frequently with her family recently.
