Karnataka gets ready for Prime Minister Modi’s two-day roadshow over the weekend as rallies and roadshows continue before the last day of campaigning. On the other hand, with PM Modi’s two-day big roadshow in the state capital over the weekend, the BJP is hoping to make one last push before the final day for campaigning.

In less than a week, Karnataka will go to the polls. All major political parties are active with campaigns, rallies, and roadshows, and well-known figures like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congresswoman Priyanka Gandhi are travelling the state.

PM Modi on Friday tossed back corruption charges levelled against the BJP and said, “Congress is a party that takes 85 per cent commission. The double-engine government under the leadership of Yeddyurappa ji and Bommai ji got a chance to serve for only three and a half years.”

“When Congress government was here, it gave priority to corruption instead of Karnataka’s development. What was the reason for this?” he asked.

PM Modi continued saying while addressing the rally in Ballari on Friday that his party took a strong stand against terrorism. It is important for Karnataka to be free from terrorism to become the number one state in the country.

PM Narendra Modi on Friday spoke on the recently-released film ‘The Kerala Story’ during his speech in election rally in Ballari, “’The Kerala Story’ film is based on a terror conspiracy. It shows the ugly truth of terrorism and exposes terrorists’ design. Congress is opposing the film made on terrorism and standing with terror tendencies. Congress has shielded terrorism for the vote bank.”

PM added that terrorism is against humanity, human values; I’m surprised for the sake of vote bank, Congress has surrendered before terror. Congress did not strengthen the tribal community, neither gave respect their culture.

In continuation of his speech he further added that when BJP made a tribal woman as Presidential candidate, Congress opposed her.

“Congress has reservations about me chanting ‘Jai Bajrangbali’; country is watching to what level Congress is going for appeasement. BJP manifesto is a ‘sankalpa patra’ with a roadmap to make Karnataka number one,” PM said at Ballari.
