Actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister have been summoned for questioning by Mumbai Police in a sedition case, news agency ANI has reported. Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel were asked to appear before the investigating officer on 26-27 October. The First Information Report against them was registered last week following an order from the Mumbai Magistrate’s court. In response to a petition from a casting director who alleged that the actress, besides defaming Bollywood, was also “creating a communal divide” through her tweets, the court said a thorough probe by an expert is necessary.
