A Delhi court on Tuesday prolonged Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody in a case involving money laundering connected to the suspected excise scam till 1 June.
The judge also instructed the jail staff to think about furnishing the lawmaker with a chair, a table, and books inside the cell.
In reference to a bill to replace the Centre’s Ordinance on the Delhi Services case, Sisodia informed the reporters as he was being led out the courtroom that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not believe in democracy.
