The third meeting of the anti-BJP bloc, attended by about 63 leaders from 28 opposition parties, is taking place in Mumbai. The agenda includes the creation of a coordination committee and the solidification of the grouping’s organizational structure. With multiple leaders vying for the post, choosing a convener for the group would be a tough decision.
Former president Ram Nath Kovind was given the task of leading a committee to examine the viability of “one nation, one election,” but opposition leaders from INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance), who met in Mumbai on Friday, September 1, denounced the move just hours earlier. The BJP’s deceitful and distracting tactics, according to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, cannot deceive the populace any longer.
The debate would center on creating several coordination committees, according to Wadettiwar, who also announced that the introduction of the INDIA bloc’s emblem had been postponed.
The countdown to this “autocratic government’s exit has begun,” according to Kharge, who made this claim in his speech on the second day of the alliance’s third conference.
A committee led by former president Ram Nath Kovind has been established by the government to investigate the viability of “one nation, one election,” which opens the door to the possibility of moving forward the Lok Sabha elections to coincide with a number of state assembly elections.
Tagging a group photograph of the INDIA alliance leaders meeting to finalise a roadmap for taking on the NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Kharge, in a post on X, said, “Judega Bharat, Jeetega INDIA. We are united for a progressive, welfare-oriented, inclusive India.”
“No matter how many diversions and distractions the ruling regime throws at the people, the citizens of India shall not be betrayed anymore. 140 Cr Indians have decided to usher change. The countdown of this autocratic government’s exit has begun,” Kharge said.
The success of both our meetings, first in Patna and second in Bengaluru, can be measured by the fact that the Prime Minister in his subsequent speeches has not just attacked INDIA but has also compared the name of our beloved country with a terrorist organisation and a symbol… pic.twitter.com/mlTr7dVJtX
