Underworld, which has always been as fictitious as real has been. Almost all filmmakers across the world have made films around the underworld, with Hollywood breaking all records of high-power-packed and thrilling action sequences always. A well-known fact, once you get into the underworld you can’t get out, and more so if you are the top-of-the-lot hitman. Earning your freedom from The High Table is all that this action thriller surrounds, where John Wick (Keanu Reeves) fights unholy alliances spread across the world and even faces the wrath of erstwhile friends turning into enemies thirsty for his blood.
The opening sequence of John Wick: Chapter 4, directed by Chad Stahelski, vividly captures the Moroccan desserts, where Wick assassinates The Elder (George Georgiou) triggering a cascade of retaliations from crime lobbies across the world putting his own life into serious danger. The High Table high-ranker Marquis (Bill Skarsgård) demolishes the New York Continental Hotel of Winston (Ian McShane) terming him excommunicado for not being able to contain Wick. When Shimazu (Hiroyuki Sanada) of Osaka Continental Hotel tries to help Wick, the deadly blind assassin Caine (Donnie Yen) sent by Marquis shows extreme action destroying everything at the Hotel and eventually killing Shimazu.
Swords, guns, firearms, fist fights, and stunts keep you hooked if you are fond of extreme action sequences. Eventually, leading up to the climax when Wick has to reach the Church by climbing a huge uphill of stairs, he is thrown back to where he started. Here, Wick finds a friend in Caine (Donnie Yen) who had earlier turned into a blood-thirsty foe, now coming back as his friend, helps him reach the Church before sunrise. Wick clears Marquis and attains freedom from The High Table in the climax. Caine is simply amazing in his role as a blind assassin presenting marvelous action for viewers’ pleasure. Also, not to miss the performance of the Tracker (Shamier Anderson), also known as Mr. Nobody, along with his fighter dog, originally hired by Marquis to exterminate Wick, ends up saving the life of John Wick.
