Podcast host Joe Rogan issued a stark warning about the potential impact of Kamala Harris becoming president in the 2024 U.S. election. Speaking on his show, Rogan expressed concerns that free speech, especially on social media platforms, could face more restrictions if Harris takes office.
During an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the host voiced his fears about censorship increasing under a Harris presidency. He specifically mentioned platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Rumble as being among the few that allow unrestricted free speech, warning that this could change.
Rogan referred to Harris’ past comments on social media, where she accused platforms of spreading hate and misinformation. In 2019, Harris called for accountability from tech giants, stating they should help combat threats to democracy.
Rogan also noted that Elon Musk, owner of X, could lose his platform’s free speech protections. Musk agreed with Rogan’s statement, tweeting that the First Amendment is at risk if Harris wins.
Rogan blasted Democrats, including Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, for remarks about limiting free speech in cases of misinformation or hate speech. Rogan reiterated that the First Amendment applies to all speech, citing past rulings from the Supreme Court.
