In a proactive step towards enhancing security measures, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has introduced a cash reward initiative, urging the public to share critical information and intelligence related to trans-border threats. The announcement, made by the police authorities, encourages citizens to collaborate with the police in safeguarding the region from potential risks.

The rewards, ranging from Rs 100,000 to Rs 12,50,000, are designed to incentivize individuals who provide information on various security concerns.
Informants can discreetly share their insights directly with their respective District Senior Superintendents of Police (SSsP), ensuring the confidentiality of their identities.

Rs 500,000: Locating Trans-Border Tunnels
For information leading to the discovery of tunnels used by Anti-National Elements (ANEs) for transshipping terrorists, explosives, and contraband consignments.

Rs 300,000: Border Drone Activities
For sighting a drone flown from across the border to drop narcotics or explosive material, leading to the recovery of the dropped material.
Providing actionable intelligence on individuals connected with receiving drone deliveries or transporting arms, ammunition, or narcotics from the border/LoC to the hinterland or Punjab, with the provided intelligence corroborated during further action.

Rs 200,000: Inter-State Narcotic Modules
For providing information based on which inter-state narcotic modules are busted.

Rs 200,000: Communication with Paki-Based Handlers
For giving information about persons talking to Pakistan-based terrorist handlers or separatists in jails, leading to the successful discovery of facts, including recoveries or busting of modules during investigations/enquiries initiated based on the provided information.

Rs 200,000: Communication with Border Terrorist Handlers
For providing information about persons communicating with terrorist handlers across the border or with their agents within J&K. This includes branding citizens as informants (mukhbir) and passing on personal details like photo, address, movements of off-duty policemen, other security personnel, or government servants for targeting. The information must get corroborated during investigations/enquiries initiated based on the provided information.

Rs 100,000: Info on new Terror recruits
For giving information about persons in masjids, madrassas, schools, or colleges who are encouraging, inducing, and inciting people to join terrorist ranks or pick up arms. The information must get corroborated during investigation/enquiries initiated based on the provided information.

Rs 200,000 to Rs 125,000: Specific Information on Presence of Terrorists
Cash reward provided based on categories A-B-C, for providing specific information about the presence of terrorists, resulting in a successful operation leading to arrest or combat.
