Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), former ally of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Haryana, has announced candidates for five Lok Sabha seats on February 16 after the announcement of parliamentary polls. Considering the caste equations, the JJP has fielded MLA Ramesh Khatak, Naina Singh Chautala, Rao Bahadur Singh, famous artist Rahul Yadav Fazilpuria and Nitin Hooda from Sirsa, Hisar, Bhiwani-Mahendergarh, Gurugram and Faridabad Lok Sabha seats respectively. The JJP big shot and former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala had already announced to declare candidates before Navratras.

What is of the utmost importance is that Naina Chautala, sitting JJP MLA from Bhadra and the mother of Dushyant Chautala has been from the politically most significant Hisar constituency. It is pertinent to mention three of the political families including Chautala family, Bhajan Lal family and Birender Singh family have been at loggerheads in Hisar over the battle of political dominance. Dushuant had been an MP from this seat on the ticket of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) ticket before the split in the Chautala family in 2014. The family of former BJP leader Birendra Singh, who joined Congress a few days ago, is staking claim on this seat from Congress. The saffron BJP has fielded a senior leader Ranjit Singh Chautala family who is father-in-law of Naina Chautala and holds the portfolio of cabinet minister in the electoral battle for the Lok Sabha seat. Since Congress has not yet released the list of its Lok Sabha candidates, it will be interesting to see whom Congress fields from Hisar seat against the candidates of BJP and JJP.

It is pertinent to mention that the Sirsa Lok Sabha candidate Ramesh Khattak, has been MLA from Baroda in the years 1991, 1996 and 2000 and holds the charge of the state president of the Scheduled Caste cell. Former MLA Rao Bahadur Singh, who got the ticket from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, has been a confidant and close one to JJP National President Dr. Ajay Singh Chautala during the Jan Akrosh Yatra. In the year 2014, Rao Bahadur secured second position by contesting the elections from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha. Rahul Yadav Fazilpuriya, a candidate from Gurugram, is a Bollywood singer. Nitin Hooda, who has been fielded from Faridabad, is the youth district JJP president of Faridabad .
