JDU’s KC Tyagi Predicts NDA Win in Ghaziabad After PM’s Roadshow

The day following Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow in Ghaziabad, JD(U) leader KC Tyagi voiced assurance that the NDA candidate would secure a resounding triumph in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections from the parliamentary constituency.

The Ghaziabad seat is set for a three-cornered battle. BJP has nominated Atul Garg as its candidate for the Ghaziabad constituency after Union Minister and current BJP MP from Ghaziabad, Gen (retd) VK Singh, withdrew from the Lok Sabha polls.

He will go head-to-head against the INDIA bloc candidate and Congress leader Dolly Sharma, while the Bahujan Samaj Party has nominated Nand Kishore Pundir. Ghaziabad will vote in the Lok Sabha elections on April 26, during the second phase of the seven-phased polling.

“Ghaziabad has traditionally remained an anti-Congress city. I am confident that the NDA candidate is going to register a landslide victory from this seat,” Tyagi told ANI.

In a blistering criticism aimed at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav regarding the alliance between their parties for the Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi, on Saturday, referenced their unsuccessful partnership in the 2017 assembly polls in the state, stating, “do ladkon ki flop film” (a flop film featuring the two actors) has been released again.

“There is no competition in Uttar Pradesh. There is no election but selection there. The people have made up their minds to elect the NDA candidates to the Lok Sabha,” he said.

He conducted a roadshow in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Saturday as part of the BJP’s election campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in the country, sends the highest number of members to the Lok Sabha, totaling 80. The state will vote for the Lower House in seven phases, commencing on April 19.

According to the Election Commission (EC), the elections for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be conducted in seven phases, with approximately 97 crore voters eligible to cast their votes. Vote counting is slated for June 4.
