It is expected that the condition of public transport in the city will now be seen improving. Jaipur City Transport Services Limited has initiated measures to regulate the company providing the app and ETIM machine services. Subsequently, on Thursday, the company promptly reimbursed the ticket fares of numerous passengers whose accounts were debited but failed to generate tickets. The Daily Guardian had published a news in its Thursday issue titled ‘JCTSL: A Private Company gets 9 paise on every ticket, still the service is ‘Zero’. Following this, the administration swiftly took action and commenced the refund process without delay.
However, Jaipur City Transport Services Limited has clearly made a provision that if money is deducted while booking from the app and the ticket is not generated, then the amount should be refunded. Whereas the reality is that the company was not depositing the refund amount in the passengers’ account. In such a situation, it is certain that refund amount has not been paid to a large number of passengers. Although the company claims that automatic refund is done in seven days, but the reality has come out to be something else.
On the other hand, many types of discount categories are not given in the electronic ticket issue machine i.e. ETIM given to the operators in JCTSL’s low floor and other buses. According to the operators, the ticket category given to the disabled as well as very senior passengers above 80 years of age is not available in the ETIM machine. Along with this, passengers are facing problems due to the absence of accredited journalist category. The operators also informed the administration in this regard, but no attention is being paid till now.
Navneet, who travels regularly in JCTSL buses, said that he travels from Murlipura to Malviya Nagar daily. During this time, at least two buses have to be changed. He said that the live tracking of buses on the app is not correct.
Due to which one has to wait for a long time. After this, they are forced to go by mini bus or private vehicles. He has demanded that when the company is being paid in full by JCTSL, then the facilities should also be improved.
By rule, information regarding the app should be given in JCTSL buses. It should also be told that if money is deducted from a passenger’s account and the ticket is not generated, then how can he lodge a complaint. Along with this, all this information should also be in the app. Although Omniefficient Technology Company has claimed that this information is in the app, but even after searching the entire app, no such information was found. This is the matter
A private company is reportedly defrauding Jaipur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL), a crucial component of the city’s transportation system, of significant sums of money each month. This malpractice is causing inconvenience to thousands of city residents on a daily basis. The company’s responsibilities include providing real-time bus tracking to passengers via an app and offering an online ticket booking platform.
Additionally, the company supplies operators with machines for ticketing and online payment acceptance. Despite contractual agreements stipulating passenger amenities, the company appears to be falling short in its obligations. JCTSL pays the company 9 paise per ticket, yet passenger facilities remain inadequate. Negative online feedback regarding the company’s performance has also been reported. Nonetheless, the company continues to operate unchecked.
