Noted lyricist Javed Akhtar has filed a criminal complaint against actress Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory statements against him on various news channels. The complaint has been filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Andheri, Mumbai. The veteran lyricist has claimed that Kangana dragged his name unnecessarily in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Kangana has been demanding justice for the late actor and has often expressed her views on Twitter. She has also given interviews to various news channels, demanding justice for SSR. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home on 14 June. A CBI investigation regarding the same is underway.
