Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha urges swift grievance resolution in ’LG’S MULAQAAT’

In a proactive move towards citizen-centric governance, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha issued directives to concerned authorities for the time-bound resolution of public grievances during ‘LG’s Mulaqaat’ – a live public grievance hearing held at the civil secretariat.
Interacting with citizens virtually, the LG focused on addressing complaints submitted through JK-IGRAMS and emphasized the need for expeditious resolution and improvements in implementation. Recognizing the role of speedy program execution in boosting Jammu and Kashmir’s economy, he underscored its significance in upholding transparency and accountability within the public delivery system.
“The rapid development and performance of various sectors show the limitless potential of J&K, and we are determined to transform this potential into reality to change the destiny of J&K in Amrit Kaal,” stated Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Responding to a complaint from Pralad Singh of Attina, Budgam, regarding the poor condition of a local road, the LG directed the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam to take prompt measures to address the issue. Addressing the grievance related to the completion of the water supply project (reservoir) in the Chanderseer Tilgam to Wanigam Payeen area, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Jal Shakti Department assured the LG that the project would be completed by the end of December.Vidyut Vats of Dhar Road, Udhampur, raised concerns about a blocked drain near Jaganath Temple at Goal Mela. The LG directed the DC Udhampur to ensure the clearance of the drain within 10 days.
Addressing the grievance of Payar Singh of Ganote Chakka Bhartund of Ramban regarding the issuance of a Below Poverty Line (BPL) ration card, the LG took note, ensuring that the matter would be resolved promptly. The proceedings of ‘LG’s Mulaqaat’ were conducted by Secretary of Public Grievances, Rehana Batul, with the Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, Additional Chief Secretary R K Goyal, DGP R R Swain, Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, DCs, SSPs, HoDs, and other senior officers present both in person and through virtual mode.
