The Kishtwar-Sinthan Top road, a crucial link connecting Anantnag district to NH-244 through the Sinthan Top pass, was successfully reopened for traffic movement on Saturday.
Officials reported that the traffic flow on the Kishtwar-Anantnag National Highway-244, specifically via Sinthan Pass, has been restored. They outlined that the Parna Check post-Chingam had a designated time window for crossings, operating from 10 am to 3 pm.Following an improvement in weather conditions, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) undertook snow clearance operations at Sinthan Top, rendering the road traffic-worthy on Saturday.
The traffic movement along Kishtwar-Anantnag National Highway-244 via Sinthan Pass had been temporarily suspended due to heavy snowfall in the Sinthan Top areas on Thursday.
