In a bid to elevate the tourist experience, the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir, joined hands with the J&K Cable Car Corporation to orchestrate a captivating cultural event at Kongdoori, the culminating point of the first phase of the Gulmarg Gondola.
Against the picturesque backdrop of Gulmarg’s snow-kissed landscapes, artists and singers took centre stage, weaving a tapestry of soulful and electrifying musical performances. However, the true highlight of the evening was the active participation of numerous tourists and visitors who, amidst the breathtaking scenery, took to the stage to sing and dance to popular Bollywood and classic tunes, earning resounding applause from the enthralled audience.
Raja Yaqoob Farooq, the Director of Tourism, Kashmir, and Managing Director of J&K Cable Car Corporation, expressed his satisfaction at the success of the event. He emphasized the department’s commitment to enhancing tourists’ experiences by providing diverse cultural, culinary, leisure, and adventure offerings. The objective, he stated, is to ensure that visitors not only cherish their time in Kashmir but are also inspired to return, beckoning others to explore the enchanting region.
The Director of Tourism announced that, in anticipation of the upcoming winter season, the department has a series of cultural activities lined up in the coming days.
