Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) working president Raman Bhalla has launched scathing criticism against the BJP government, alleging that the people of J&K feel betrayed by its policies and governance approach.
During a series of public meetings across the Bishnah constituency, including in Sehora, Kanhal, Bishnah town, Salehar, Makhanpur, Arnia, and Bahadurpur, Bhalla expressed deep concern over the rising inflation, massive unemployment, and what he described as the BJP’s failure to address public issues effectively.
“People of J&K feel betrayed by the BJP, especially with regards to the rampant inflation, soaring unemployment, and the hollow promises of good governance,” Bhalla remarked.
Accompanied by JKPCC General Secretary Shashi Sharma and other party members, Bhalla reiterated the Congress Party’s commitment to standing for the people’s interests and advocating for equitable development, employment opportunities, and the protection of local resources.
He urged the public not to be swayed by BJP’s false propaganda and divisive policies, assuring that the Congress would continue its efforts for the well-being and progress of the people despite such challenges.
Highlighting the impact of inflation on households, particularly affecting housewives due to skyrocketing essential commodity prices driven by fuel cost hikes, Bhalla positioned the Congress as the guarantor of development, peace, and common welfare.
Addressing the contentious issue of J&K’s bifurcation into Union Territories, Bhalla criticized the BJP for allegedly victimizing and punishing the people under the guise of development, accusing them of snatching away rights to fulfill their political agenda.
He emphasized that the Congress remains the unifying force that will fight for the rights of J&K’s residents and urged the public to support the party in exposing the BJP government’s shortcomings.

The statements by Raman Bhalla reflect growing political tensions and ideological differences ahead of the upcoming elections, with the Congress positioning itself as an alternative to the ruling BJP in Jammu and Kashmir.
