The Election Department of Rajasthan has been tirelessly working towards increasing the voting percentage. Despite these efforts, only 18 assembly seats in the state have seen a steady increase in voter turnout in every election, with voters fully aware of their democratic rights and actively participating in the electoral process.

This means that after the delimitation in 2008, there was a fluctuation in the voting percentage on 182 seats in every election. The significant thing is that voters in rural areas are more aware and actively voting on these seats compared to urban seats.

It is important to note that out of the total of 18 assembly seats, 8 seats are reserved for individuals belonging to the reserved category. Among these, Dudu and Baran-Ataru are reserved for Scheduled Castes, while Sapotra, Lalsot, Aspur, Kushalgarh, Pratapgarh, and Kishangarh are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

Of the 18 seats where the voting percentage is increasing every time, this time in Viratnagar, Congress’s Indraj Singh Gurjar, Independent Alok Beniwal from Shahpura, Independent Babulal Nagar from Dudu, BJP’s Nirmal Kumawat from Fulera, BJP’s Narpat Singh Rajvi from Vidhyadhar Nagar, BJP’s Ashok Lahoti from Sanganer, Congress’s Ramesh Meena from Sapotra, won the 2018 elections.

On the other hand, Congress’s Gajraj Khataana from Bandi Kui, BJP’s Joraram Kumawat from Sumerpur, Congress’s Mevararam Jain from Barmer, BJP’s Gopichand Meena from Aspur, Independent Ramila Khadiya from Kushalgarh, Congress’s Ramlal Meena from Pratapgarh, Congress’s Ashok Chandana from Hindoli, Congress’s Bharat Singh Kundanpur from Sangod, Congress’s Nirmala Sahariya from Kishangarh, and Congress’s Panachand Meghwal from Baran-Ataru are the current MLAs.
