The state government has started efforts to improve the deteriorating administrative system. After the continuous inspections of Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, the General Administration Department has issued orders for the secretariat.
According to this order, now employees and officers will not be able to go home in the name of lunch. In the order, it has been clearly stated that during lunchtime, from 1:30 to 2 pm, employees will only get up from their seats. Apart from this time, any employee cannot roam in the corridor, garden, or parking lot.
The order states that employees must be present at their seats from 9:30 am to 6 pm. For this, the department head should arrive on time, and other employees should also be bound to arrive on time.
The order also states that employees and officers will not be able to take leave without reason. Leave can only be taken for health reasons or in emergency situations. Concerned officers should approve leave only in special circumstances.
It is also written about the pendency of files and that files should not be stopped without reason so that people do not have to wander around for work.
The Chief Secretary has been inspecting various departments continuously. One day, when he suddenly reached the office of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), most of the officers and employees were not found in their seats.
Upon this, he appointed three officers, including the JDA Secretary, as Additional Principal Officers (APO). On Tuesday, he inspected the Regional Commissioner and the Collectorate. Photos of pending files were also taken here. CS’s inspections will continue to ensure good governance is fulfilled.
