Under the direction of the Greater Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Dr. Soumya Gurjar, action has been taken against 1 dozen illegally operated meat shops and slaughterhouses. During the action on Friday, 40 kilograms of meat were seized on the spot. During this, action has been taken against 1 dozen illegally operated meat shops and slaughterhouses on Diggi Malpura Road, Sanganer, and Manasarovar Thadi Market, Varun Path. A team led by Deputy Animal Management Dr Harendra has seized this meat.
Greater Municipal Commissioner Babulal Goyal stated that action has been taken on all those meat shops that did not have a license. All these shops have been given a warning notice. The warning states that those meat shops without a license should apply for it soon. If this is not done, the Municipal Corporation will take strict action as per the rules. During the action on Friday, a significant amount of fish and chicken were also seized in the 40 kilograms of illegal meat.
