In the Jaipur bomb blast case, the accused Salman has not been granted relief by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has refused to grant bail to Salman. The accused Salman, who was involved in planting a live bomb in the Jaipur bomb blast case, had applied for bail in the Supreme Court.
The court has rejected the bail plea of the accused. In the bail application, Salman, who is accused of planting a live bomb, pleaded that he was a minor at the time of the incident. The maximum punishment in the Juvenile Justice Board is only three years. Therefore, he should be granted bail.
In December 2019, the lower court in Jaipur pronounced the verdict for the accused in the bomb blast incidents that occurred in May 2008. In this, four convicts were sentenced to death.
On March 29, 2023, the High Court overturned the lower court’s verdict and ordered the release of all four accused.
After this, the matter reached the Supreme Court. Where the order of the High Court was considered incorrect by the state government. In the case of Salman’s hearing, the Supreme Court has heard the arguments from the state government. The Supreme Court has ordered a trial in this case till May 15.
