Israeli Army Recovers 3 More Bodies of Hostages Killed in Oct 7 Attack by Hamas

Israel’s army has recovered the bodies of three additional hostages who were killed during the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel. The deceased hostages have been identified as Hanan Yablonka, Michel Nisenbaum, and Orion Hernandez Radoux, and their families have been notified. The army asserts that they were all murdered on the day of the attack at the Mefalsim intersection, after which their bodies were taken to Gaza, as reported by the New York Post.

Just days prior, the army retrieved the bodies of three other hostages who perished on October 7. Israel has stated that Hamas currently holds approximately 100 hostages in Gaza, along with the bodies of 30 additional individuals. The army asserts that the bodies were recovered during an operation in Jabaliya, based on critical intelligence uncovered by Israeli forces operating in Gaza last week, according to Military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari.

Michel Nisenbaum, 59, a Brazilian-Israeli from the southern city of Sderot, was captured by Hamas while attempting to rescue his four-year-old granddaughter. Orion Hernandez Radoux, a 30-year-old French-Mexican citizen, was taken hostage from the Nova music festival. He was attending the event with his partner, Shani Louk, whose body was found about a week prior and recently laid to rest. Hanan Yablonka, a 42-year-old father of two, was also captured from the Nova music festival. Since his capture, his family had received no updates on his whereabouts or condition.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to bring all hostages back and eliminate Hamas. However, progress has been limited, with Netanyahu facing pressure to resign. The United States has warned that it would reduce its support over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
